Today is day 2 of the 30 day challenge!
i believe Elisha is doing a zig zag all 7 days of week 1 and 3. kama and i are following the calendar that i posted on lgchallenges.weebly.com
Everyone, including me will post their day on this forum, so whoever wants to follow my progress or anyone elses can read it here! goodluck today!
remember, we have allotted cheat days for week 2 and 4 so stay on track this week
I will also update everyones 30 day goals and post them here each day, so we can be held accountable for our month goal
Loni: lose 8 lbs from 161.4
Donya: lose 9 lbs from 208
Poetry: lose 6 lbs from 154
Elisha: Lose 10 lbs from 230
Kama: lose 10 lbs from 145
Crystal: not sure if crystal is joining us
Today my goal is to eat 1100 calories. and not go over. i want to get as close to that amount as possible. tomorrow will be easier, i get 1900 calories.
my goal for this 30 days is to lose 6 lbs. i weighed in today and i am at 161.4 (but i start my period tomorrow) so im sure im a little higher than usual.
i will weigh myself every monday now for this challenge since we start on a monday. im happy to be doing this and am highly motivated!!!
whoever is doing this with elisha and I you can just post on here what you did for the day and we will support each other! ![]()
We have decided to do a 30 day challenge to be prepared for halloween! we want to look our best! This will be a blog based challenge rather than a forum based.
here is a link to the website and the document that i would recommend downloading.

anyone who wants to join us is very welcome! if you need help figuring out how many calories you should do for your zig zag, let me know!! email me!.
and it would be nice if anyone who wants to join would post here and let us know your 30 day weight goal. that way we can root everyone on who is serious about doing this, and see how everyone does!
i boiled asparagus and chopped carrots with some garlic salt and southwest seasonings. then i marinated pork chops in andria’s steak sauce (an illinois thing) and super smokers bbq (a midwest thing), and cooked it in a skillet, and it is YUM! delicious! and it only took me 30 minutes to make this delicious dinner!
last night poetry and i worked our butts off at the gym. HARD! my body is sore today! We shall do it again next tuesday too!
this weekend im going to visit my old college. its about 3 1/2 hours away. it should be fun but diet for sure is off for the weekend. i will be going out with my old friends and im just gonna enjoy myself! first time up there being 21!
hope everyones having a great wednesday!
i am thankful that i am a strong person.
i am thankful that i can self reflect and not live in denial.
i am thankful that i have two legs, two feet, two hands, two arms.
i am thankful to be wise enough to surround myself with people who are just as honest as myself.
i am thankful to be strong enough to handle the truth, for what is there without truth?
i am thankful to be an independent woman.
i am thankful to be raised the way i was, to be self sufficient, innovative, and creative.
i am thankful for a roof over my head.
i am thankful to be in school.
i am thankful to have a full time job and be able to provide for myself.
i am thankful to be strong enough to handle my emotions.
i am thankful to be on this journey with all of my great buddies.
i am thankful to be unafraid to voice my own opinion.
what are you thankful for today?
HEY EVERYONE! im glad that im still goin strong, elisha and my challenge is moving right along, after reading all the blogs im wanting chinese (thanks blaithin
) and pizza (thx kama!) but i’ll be okay! i am on campus right now, i just took a philosophy test, and now i have class from 6-8:50 so that will give me time to think about what ill make for dinner!
i spent 140 dollars on groceries this week and cant remember really what i bought.
so i will ponder and think about what to make myself when i get home. i AM hungry NOW THOUGH!!
well, off to class.
Elisha and I have decided starting monday to begin a new 7 day challenge, including the zig zag method.
ill explain it later. but i would love for anyone to join!
just droppin by to say hi to all of my buddies!!!
staying on track here, just wanted to pop in and say that im so glad to be moving in the right direction and this challenge is really helping me to stay on the right path.
im down to 159.4 which is the lowest ive ever seen!!! YAY!
PHEW! The biggest loser sure knows how to change a girls attitude!!! I really needed to have some biggest loser in my life! It made me stay at the gym for the whole two hours, a workout i havent done in, oh probably 2-3 months?
And i LOVED it!!
Calories-1450 (about)
Water-way over 64 oz
workout:130 minutes combined on the treadill, crosstrainer, and bike. felt so good, although i got a headache for a good 20 and wanted to give up but figured if they could do it, i can do it!!!
I get so emotional watching that show!
but i LOVE it!
i know most people on here probably do watch it, but if you dont i would STRONGLY suggest watching it, even if you dont have the two hours to sit and watch it on tuesday nights, at least watch it online. Commercials are left out and so it goes a lot quicker, and you can watch it on your own time! just google full eposide biggest loser season 8.
i swear, the show should charge to watch it, its so motivational!!
so onto day 6! im excited about weigh in friday, im hoping to be under 160 lbs since yesterday i weighed at 160!
have a good day everyone!
I am happy to inform everyone that even though i havent posted about day 2,3, or 4 yet (today is day 5) that i have been staying on track and so has Elisha.
I just wanted to say thank you to Elisha, Poetry, Tina, for not giving up on me and keeping my head above water! I’ve been feeling really down, and they have helped push me along and are helping me to pull myself out of this funk. Thank you girls, im still working on it, but certain things we talked about yesterday that really helped me, more than you know.
I am also happy to hear that there are many buddies that have joined us on this venture! 13 days is a long time and a short time, a good amount of time to get through a plateau, get under a certain range thats been difficult, and thats exactly why we are doing it. it supports the idea of consistency and that is what weight loss is all about. its about keeping away from yo-yoing, being on track for 2 days and then forgetting it.
SO im updating:
DAY 2: Calories-under 1400
water intake-over 80 oz
no exercise
DAY 3: Calories-under 1400
water intake-under 64 oz
no exercise
DAY 4: Calories-around 1300
water intake-over 64 oz!
no exercise
I am on day 5 right now and doing good on the calorie front! i have noticed that since friday i have lost 3.8 lbs (i know most of that was water weight, and i had three high days before weigh in day) but im still at the lowest ive ever been! 160.0!!! i am THIS CLOSE to breaking my pattern, of seeing such a low number and then going nuts. i am NOT going to allow this to happen, and quite frankly, part of the challenge was to not step on the scale other than weigh in days. so im GOING TO STOP!
i just needed to see that number. it was a blessing to me! SORRY ELISHA!
NO MORE SCALE FOR US!
tonight is the season premiere of the biggest loser, and most or some of you know that on tuesday nights during the biggest loser i go to the gym for the two hours, because i watch it on the tvs on the equiptment. it keeps me motivated to keep working out for the 2 hours.
so i hope that everyone is doing great on this challenge, whoever has joined, and whoever still wants to, its not too late.
